This music was born out of a place of light and heavy love.

In a time where life felt terrifying I wrote "Overcome" to myself as a solace to find and lean on my own faith and inner strength.

In dreaming of what true love could be I wrote “What Happiness Is”… and thankfully, the things we write can become your reality because it feels I’m living that song now.

“Tennessee Hills” was born in a cabin on a horse farm with two little girls. They were 9 and 11 at the time and together we shared our love of the country side and their deep pride for calling Tennessee home.

“What Are You Afraid Of” is a song of martyrdom and unrequited love…

“Tin Roof” I wrote driving from Tennessee to Virginia and daydreaming being with the one I love in my family cabin, hearing the rain on our tin roof and having that conversation with myself while he slept … in the moments that there are no place for words but many in thought and just simply being present.

Here is Tennessee..

With Love, Arum Rae
